Riverside City Attorney Greg Priamos Tapped for County Counsel Position

Riverside County Supervisors unanimously selected Riverside City Attorney Greg Priamos to serve as the county’s chief legal advisor Tuesday. Priamos is replacing Pamela Walls who is scheduled to retire on July 29.

“He’s done a remarkable job reducing litigation for the city of Riverside,” said Board Chairman Jeff Stone. “Our Office of County Counsel needs a lot of work, a fresh pair of eyes.”

Priamos was one of two individuals interviewed for the position. Assistant County Counsel Anita Willis was also considered for the job.

Priamos has served as Riverside’s city attorney since 2001 and currently heads the City Attorneys’ Department of the League of California Cities. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School.
