Riverside County Finance Director Ed Corser to Retire

Riverside County Finance Director Ed Corser has announced his retirement, effective September 10, which will conclude a 50-year career in municipal finances.

Corser has served as the county’s finance director since February of 2010, having also previously held the job from 1998 to 2004. His impressive resume includes time spent as Chief Financial Officer of Orange County and Manager/CEO of Los Angeles County.

Corser’s replacement will be former Wall Street financial advisor Paul McDonnell, who also held the position from 2008 to 2009. Between 1998 and 2008, he served as treasurer/tax collector for the county. He is expected to earn between $138,000 and $255,000 annually.
