Spate of Human Remains Found in Los Angeles National Forest

The Halloween season may officially be over, but in around the Los Angeles National Forest the real creepiness has just begun.

Law enforcement officials say three separate sets of skeletal remains have been found off of hiking trails in the Los Angeles National Forest over the past several days. The discoveries include a human skull, a spine, a femur and a hand, and come on the heels of another discovery of a skull in mid-October.

So far, the remains don’t appear to be related. According to Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide Lt. Victor Lewandowski, it’s possible the body parts are being unearthed by recent rains brought by the El Niño storm.

Investigations into the manners of death are currently underway.
