Yolo County Elections Official Leaving for Clinton Campaign

Freddie Oakley wore quite a few hats in Yolo County’s Elections Office as the clerk-recorder/registrar of voters/assessor.

She is also old friends with one Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign first asked her to come on board in September, but it is just this week that Oakley made her choice.

Working on a campaign is a pretty cut and dry conflict of interest with holding things down at a government elections office.

After more than a decade at Yolo County, Oakley will retire at the end of the month to join up with Hillary and company.

Oakley said she doesn’t know the specifics of her role within the campaign though, but you don’t hit up your friend of five decades to quit their job to come work for you for something small, right?

More on the Oakley’s departure can be found here.
