Placer CO Supe Races' "Haves and Have Nots"

Contested races in Placer County's 3rd and 5th Districts seem to have incumbents Michael Babich and Jennifer Montgomery far ahead in the fundraising game. According to the Journal:

Election cash

Robert Grigas $522

Michael Babich $3,670

Jennifer Montgomery $26,370

Jim Holmes $27,904

The Journal contines: "District 3 challenger Grigas had a cash balance nearing the end of April of $522 after spending $1,327. The cash receipts taken in between Feb. 1 and April 28 included an $850 loan to the campaign from Grigas, the self-employed owner of Robert Grigas & Associates of Newcastle."

Late last month the Sac Bee endorsed both incumbents, noting "With their experience, judgment and priorities, they are best equipped to wrestle with the complex issues facing Placer, one of California’s fastest-growing counties. One issue headed their way is a possible half-cent sales tax on the November ballot to help fund the county’s transportation needs. Holmes is generally in support, Uhler is skeptical and Montgomery wants to see the final proposal."
