Napa Hires New CEO
Napa County Assistant CEO Leanne Link has been promoted to the County Executive Officer position. She will replace Nancy Watt, who announced her departure June 7 after 12 years on the job.
“I’m honored to serve our county in this new role,” Link said. “Napa County is a unique place, and I’m pleased to be a part of the community. To be invited to lead the organization is a privilege.”
Link has served as assistant CEO since December 2013. She spent the previous 16 years in various positions with Shasta County. Prior to that, she worked in the fiscal division of the Sutter County Office of Education.
Board Chairman Alfredo Pedroza praised Link for a history of leadership that he said would compliment the county’s “tradition of stewardship and commitment to service.” He also thanked Watt for her years of leadership, during which she exhibited “the highest ethical standards.”
Link’s promotion was approved by the Board of Supervisors June 16 and takes effect Aug. 27. She will earn an annual salary of $244,609.
