Sheriff’s Deputy Killed in Big Bear Plane Crash

A member of the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department was among two people killed in a plane crash Sunday morning.

Deputy Rebecca Joan Raymond, 28, was on board the Cessna 172 when it careened into a mountain in a remote part of Big Bear. The cause of the crash is still unknown.

Raymond had been with the SBSD for just over a year.
