Calaveras Hires New Economic Development Director

Calaveras County has tapped Kathy Gallino, an economic development veteran with the County of the Sacramento, for its new economic development director position. Gallino will take over on Jan. 22 at an annual salary of just over $113,000.

Gallino has worked for Sacramento County since 1999 when she first took a job with its Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC). Gallino studied Environmental Science and Biology at California State University in Sacramento and worked in the environmental consulting and remediation sector for a few years. She is working on obtaining a master’s in public policy and administration as well.
