Skies Full of Butterflies Take Over SoCal

Butterflies have been migrating north toward Oregon and Southern California residents are reaping the benefits.

The millions of painted ladies are migrating from Mexico and are currently crossing Los Angeles County making for plenty of videos of the insects flooding social media.

The butterflies are a welcoming sight after recent reports show that the butterfly population has been in a steep decline.

Earlier this year The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation released a report found that monarch butterflies have suffered an 85.2 percent decline since last year.
