OC Sheriff’s Investigator on Leave After Allegedly Pulling a Gun on a Group of Teens

An Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigator has been placed on leave following an off-duty incident that was captured on video.

It happened at a San Clemente skate park. A group of teenagers claim the investigator approached them for playing their music too loud and then pulled out a gun.

Video, available at KTLA, does show a man pointing a weapon at a group of teens, forcing one to back up in fear. Audio suggests that one of the teenagers may have raised a skateboard toward the officer beforehand.

“Orange County Sheriff's Department employees are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism on and off-duty,” the department said in a statement. ”We take this incident seriously and will fully investigate.”
