Orange County Hires New Auditor-Controller

Orange County has turned to a familiar face for its chief financial watchdog role, following the sudden death of Eric Woolery in August.

Frank Davies was appointed to the Auditor-Controller position earlier this month. He spent more than three decades with the Auditor-Controller’s office before retiring in 2018. He also previously served as Finance Director for Villa Park.

Davies graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He earned his MBA from California State University, Long Beach and is a Certified Public Accountant.
