Emergency Declared in RivCo, Events Halted in SF Amid COVID19 Outbreak

The coronavirus outbreak continues to take a toll across the state.

The number of California cases has now increased to 114. That number is expected to grow as more testing kits become available. Fresno announced its first case Friday. Riverside County has declared a state of emergency

Meanwhile, 2,500 confined cruise ship passengers will dock at the Port of Oakland today. At least 21 people aboard have tested positive for COVID-19. Most of them are crew members. The Coast Guard had sent 45 tests in. 

San Francisco also announced Saturday that it is ending all non-essential events on city-owned property for a period of two weeks.
