Spate of COVID Deaths Hit Tiny Amador County
Amador County is home to just 38,500 people. When deaths from COVID-19 hit this county, they hit hard.
In just one week, Amador lost 13 people. Twelve of them were in a single nursing home. As of Tuesday, there had been 216 cases in Amador. More than one in 50 residents in the City of Jackson have tested positive for COVID-19.
Amador has now officially landed on the state’s coronavirus monitoring list. New restrictions for indoor businesses will go into effect on Thursday.
