Santa Cruz Launches Rental Assistance Program

Santa Cruz County has launched a new rental assistance program for people affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The program is being administered by the Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County and Families in Transition using funds from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Eligible applicants will earn less than 80% of median income in the area ($74,350 or less for a household of one). Recipients will be selected at random. They’ll receive $10,000 toward rent and utilities going back to April 1.

Applications will be accepted through September 15. Apply here.
