Shasta County Supervisor Faces Recall in February

Efforts in Shasta County to recall three supervisors finally sees a success with the recall election of County Supervisor Leonard Moty scheduled for February.

A group of residents had been seeking to also get Joe Chimenti and Mary Rickert recalled, but failed to get enough signatures to include them on February’s ballot.

Recall election efforts have been popping up all across the State for county, city, and school board seats.

The filing period in Shasta County to apply to run for the District 2 seat opens November 12 and ends November 17.
