Governor Gavin Newsom has handily defeated an attempt to boot him from office, with over 60% of voters bucking the recall in preliminary tallies.
Voting has begun for California. Ballots were mailed out earlier this week and so far more than 200 people have voted in LA County, according to the County Registrar.
