San Francisco Ready to Ban E-Cigarettes

This week, San Francisco, along with Chicago and New York sent a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration asking for a review of the effect e-cigarettes have on public health.

Additionally, SF Supervisor Shamann Walton has introduced legislation which could ban the manufacturing and distribution of all tobacco products in the county.

Arguments against e-cigs allege that the flavors and colorful packaging makes it easier to target children.

IN 2018, San Francisco voters upheld a ban in flavored tobacco products, including vaping products.
