Are You a Medical Professional Who Wants to Help Fight COVID-19? Los Angeles Wants to Hear From You.
The city and county of Los Angeles have launched a recruitment portal for medical professionals who could assist a flood of patients with COVID-19. Mayor Eric Garcetti announced the new service Tuesday.
Like other parts of the country, L.A. is expecting a shortage of medical personnel as coronavirus cases rise. Those with medical experience can offer their services here.
Anyone interested in signing up should be prepared to answer questions about:
- Medical experience and specialty
- Availability
- Languages
- Whether they belong to an at-risk group
- Whether or not they are willing to work pro-bono
L.A. County has seen more than 1,800 confirmed coronavirus cases and at least 32 deaths.
