Calaveras CAO Resigns

Calaveras County will soon be on the hunt for a new Administrative Officer. Christa Von Latta, who has held the position since March of 2021, announced her resignation last week. She will step down on January 1, 2023.

“While on administrative leave, she will be working with the Board of Supervisors and County staff to facilitate a smooth transition over the coming months,” MyMotherLode.com reports.

“I am very thankful to the County of Calaveras and its impressive, hard-working staff for providing me with such a great opportunity. It is difficult to step away, but I feel strongly at this point in my life it is a necessary step in my career. It is not a decision I made lightly,” Von Latta said. 

Board of Supervisors Chair Amanda Floendorf thanked Von Latta for “the time and sacrifices” she has made over the years. Before serving as CAO, Von Latta was the Interim CAO and Deputy CAO for Calaveras.
