LA Sheriff’s Deputies Serve Search Warrant at County Supervisor's Home

Members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at the home of County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl on Wednesday morning.

Video shows deputies knocking on Kuehl’s door and demanding entry.

It’s not clear what the warrant is related to, but as LA Times reporter Alene Tchekmedyian notes, sheriff’s investigators have raised questions about a nonprofit organization associated with Kuehl. Sheriff Alex Villanueva has also been accused of using sheriff’s department investigations to target political enemies

Kuehl met reporters outside her home on Wednesday to address the search.

Kuehl claimed the warrant contained no information and that the judge who signed it is a friend of Sheriff Villanueva.

This is a developing story.

UPDATE: Sheriff's investigators have also searched the home of Civilian Oversight Commissionioner Patty Giggin.
