San Francisco Rents Are Falling
San Francisco has dropped to third place on Zumper’s list of cities with the highest rent in the nation.
San Francisco was once #1. It then slid into second place behind New York City. In October, it was outdone by Boston.
October represented the second straight month of declining rent prices, according to another study conducted by Apartment List.
"If you're a renter and you want a good deal, now is the time to start looking," Crystal Chen, Zumper spokesperson, told ABC News.
Chen said San Francisco still hasn’t fully recovered from the pandemic. But that doesn't mean rent is cheap. The average one-bedroom apartment in San Francisco still costs $2,339 per month. For a two-bedroom, the average is $2,644.
