Family of OC Public Defender Says His Death Was No Accident

The family of an Orange County public defender is raising questions about his tragic death during a vacation in Rosarito, Mexico.

Mexican authorities say 33-year-old Elliot Blair was intoxicated when he fell from a fourth-floor balcony at Las Rocas Resort and Spa on Saturday. But his family believes he was the victim of foul play.

Blair was in Mexico to celebrate his first wedding anniversary with his wife Kim Williams, who is also a public defender in Orange County. The Williams family has hired its own investigator to look into Blair’s death. The Orange County Public Defender’s Office says it is also working with U.S. officials to get more information.

Blair had worked for the public defender’s office since 2017.
