
CA Employment Dips Again in October
California’s unemployment rate rose to 4.8% last month — a 0.1 point percentage increase from the previous month. The decrease came in spite of an additional 40,200 nonfarm payroll jobs.
Financial activities was the only sector to see a reduction (-300) in jobs. California’s 10 other industry sectors saw gains, with private education and health services leading the way (+13,200).

- San Mateo (3.2%)
- San Francisco (3.4%)
- Napa and San Luis Obispo (3.5%)
- Inyo, Marin and Sonoma (3.6%)
- Orange and Santa Barbara (3.8%)
